Responsibilities
- Assess clients' financial status and credit history to determine their qualification for mortgage loans or refinancing.
- Build and nurture relationships with real estate agents, financial advisors, borrowers, and builders to boost referral networks and create lending opportunities.
- Assist clients throughout the loan application journey, from the initial meeting to closing, ensuring all required documents are gathered and processed promptly.
- Keep up-to-date with current mortgage rates, loan products, and regulatory updates to offer clients precise and timely guidance.
- Work closely with underwriters, loan processors, and other internal teams to facilitate quick loan approvals while adhering to lender policies and federal regulations.
- Engage in community and real estate events to raise the company’s profile and attract new business leads.
- Implement diverse marketing and sales tactics to promote mortgage offerings and grow the client portfolio.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience as a Mortgage Loan Originator or in a comparable position within the mortgage lending sector.
- Possession of a current, valid NMLS license is mandatory.
- Demonstrated success in originating a variety of mortgage loans, with comprehensive knowledge of mortgage products, regulations, and industry guidelines.
- Strong skills in analyzing financial information and understanding market trends to provide optimal mortgage solutions for clients.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with clients, real estate professionals, and financial institutions.
- Proficient in mortgage loan software and familiar with the entire loan process, from pre-approval through closing.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Dedicated to upholding high ethical standards and ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
- Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
Compensation
$80,000 - $135,000 USD Yearly
This is a commission based position.
